Mycoplasma spp.
Several Mycoplasma subspecies exist and M. gallisepticum (MG) and M. synoviae (MS) are known to cause disease in poultry. Birds infected with MG can express respiratory symptoms and layers a drop in eggs laid. MS infection expresses itself as unspecific respiratory symptoms and can be subclinical. Another sign of infection with MS can be swollen joints due to synovitis.
AeroCollect® can detect the presence of MS and MG in the flock, ensuring fast and reliable results.
